Sarah Knott, LSW

I started working in the helping profession in 2000, specifically with adults with disabilities. These clients taught me how to live, laugh and love. It is my passion to empower others to dream, embrace life and live with hope.

Since 2000, I have worked with teens in residential and community settings and in social services at a hospital with patients young and old. I graduated in 2006 and since then, have enjoyed working as a mental health professional and social worker.

I am a licensed social worker and came to work for Rathdrum Counseling Center in 2007.

The families, young adults, teens and children I work with teach me the importance of compassion, hope and acceptance everyday.

I will begin a new journey the fall of 2008 and will pursue a Master's of Social Work at Eastern Washington University. This will allow me to discover how therapy can be a guide and tool for clients in their journey.

It is my hope that the importance of human relationship and dignity and worth of the person is found in the PSR services I deliver. Often times, we need someone to simply listen and PSR services offers that ear, as well as the tools and skills needed to manage mental health challenges during daily life. It is my hope that you find support to thrive and not just survive.

"The grand essentials of happiness are:
something to do,
something to love,
and something to hope for."
